This oriental spicy hot blackbean and chilli dressing can be added to thinly sliced beef, chicken or pork to make a quick stir fry. It's what we call a well-made sauce at Greatfood2buy.com, a cut above the sauces you find on supermarket shelves (nothing wrong with those either!) but why not try an artisan-made version and compare them?
How to make a quick stir-fry using Castle Leslie Blackbean Dressing
You will need: good quality beef, chicken or pork, sliced thinly across the grain into matchbox size pieces; green pepper, seeded and cut into matchbox size pieces; Castle Leslie Blackbean Dressing (a few spoons will do four people) and sliced onion.
Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick pan or wok (vegetable oil is OK to heat to a high temperature, don't use olive oil).
When the oil is hot, fry the onions, stirring all the time until they are lightly browned. Add the green pepper and fry for a minute or two until the skin is bubbling. Remove the vegetables to a plate. Season the meat with a grinding of black pepper. Add the thinly sliced beef, chicken or pork to the pan with a few spoons of black bean sauce (just enough to coat the meat) and fry for two minutes, stirring continuously. Return the vegetables to the pan, keep stirring over high heat for about 30 seconds. Remove from the heat.
Keep the rest of the Blackbean Chilli Dressing in the fridge and use within three days once opened.
